Why we might not earn money for its own sake?

Unless you physically want to store it, you earn money for what it will buy you. So if you are looking at 'earning' money, you are focussed in the wrong direction.

You are aware in society at the moment that money is one of the main ways we attain what we think we want. However, if we truly know what we want, and we focus on getting money to attain it, then we are automatically cutting out any other creative ways there may be to attain what we want.

That's not to say money won't attain it for us, but we're looking at the wrong goal. If we wanted to get to France, we can say we need to catch a plane from ... to ..., but if we just know we want to get to France, there is more than one way to do it. You can tell a friend that you'd like to go, and they may know someone who's driving there at the time you want to go and would welcome some company. We can speak to a travel agent who may offer plane journeys, train journeys, boat journeys. Immediately you have a number of options of how you undertake your journey, and can now make a choice as to which way you would like to travel.

Similarly then, if you know what it is you are trying to achieve, rather than focussing on aquiring the money to get whatever it is, you can literally focus on your desire and your creativity can set to work to create it in whatever form works for you.
