Why can you not change your world through physical action? 26 September 2004
If you are operating under a system where you do believe you can change your world through physical action, then you can. However, if you are now aware that this is not actually necessary, you may well want to use this new method of changing things through 'changing your beliefs', as it will be more efficient. In choosing a moment where you have 'changed a belief', that will automatically affect everything in your world, whereas a physical change apparently brought about by physical action, with only a minor shift in your belief system, will be case specific, ie - it will affect the particular change, but will not necessarily change other things in your life that are also going on as a result of certain beliefs you are operating under.
You can appear to change things in your world through physical action, but that can only be a representation of you 'changing a belief', ie - a representation of you having shifted from, or re-focussed from, one moment with one set of beliefs to another moment with a different set of beliefs.
You can suffer with a bad back and go to the gym and work with a fit ball, for example, and make it better but that's not because you've taken the physical action per se. It could be that doing exercises with a fit ball apparently improves and strengthens your core balance, so if you had been wanting to work on strengthening your general balance in life, not just physically, you could see a 'past, present and future' where you were exercising with the fit ball more regularly.
In strengthening your balance in life, you could represent this as having been doing more regular exercise, thus making use of a cause and effect belief, or still using a cause and effect belief, you could use a different cause, eg - seeing a health practioner who apparently 'cures' your bad back, or you could simply be re-focussed in a moment where you no longer believe in cause and effect. Each of these options could show you as having had a bad back, to no longer having a bad back if you'd strengthened your balance in life, that is chosen another moment where more balance was represented.
Of course, seeing yourself with an improved back may represent hundreds of different issues, not simply as a representation of improving your balance!
