| Out of nowhere, Bridget picked us an absolute gem of a youth hostel for this Seth Walks. Quite unexpectedly we arrived at a Regency period mansion, the home of a former writer and poet, with some absolutely stunning high ceilinged rooms, decorations, gorgeous vistas, a classical veranda, and this magnificently decorated copula over the grand staircase. And the view of the shimmering Esthwaite Lake on our doorstep was a breath of fresh air. A scene from Paradise! |
